About Us
St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church is a local parish community of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, under the pastoral leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Saba, Archbishop of New York and All North America. Our parish belongs to the Diocese of Toledo and the Midwest, guided by Archimandrite Jeremy (Davis), Archiepiscopal Vicar. We are part of the ancient Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch — the city where “the disciples were first called Christians” (Acts 11:26). St. George Church is also part of the worldwide fellowship of Orthodox churches across every land and culture, united in the faith and worship of Jesus Christ.
Founded by faithful families who settled in the Terre Haute area nearly a century ago, our parish continues to be a spiritual home for Orthodox Christians and those seeking the fullness of the Apostolic Faith. We are committed to worshiping the Holy Trinity, proclaiming the Gospel, and serving our local community through fellowship, education, and charitable works.
We invite you to join us for worship, learning, and community life at St. George. For more information, please contact our church office at (812) 232-5244. Our pastor, Fr. Habib Ghantous, will be glad to welcome you personally.
